Praise of Peruvian cuisine
2020-02-20 15:42:39As I mentioned in my previous post, I am traveling through Peru. And as always when I travel through this country, I am amazed at how well you eat here. And I don't mean the new and trendy Peruvian cuisine of famous chefs like Gastón Acurio or Virgilio Martínez. I want to say that in Peru you can eat well even in the most humble garitos, be it a chifa, a popular cevichería or an anonymous street restaurant. And also, at a more than affordable price.
One of the subjects I like most about Peruvian cuisine, in addition to raw and macerated fish, is quinoa, a cereal used in the Andes since pre-Inca times that fell into disuse in the colonial era and now the great masters of the Andean cuisine (not only Peruvian) have become fashionable again.
They will not be signed by Gastón Acurio, but surely the value for money will leave you amazed.
